Our History
Ambika Apple Nursery deals with apple plants raised on clonal rootstocks, grown with utmost love & care in the hills of Himachal Pradesh. From our fields in the countryside, we bring a decade’s knowledge and expertise in growing apple trees. Ambika Apple Nursery was re-established at Bakhol farms in 2012. Bakhol is a small hamlet situated in the foothills of Kamru Nag/ Shikari Devi ranges in Central Himalayas and overlooks the famous historical ‘Mahamaya Temple’ situated at Pangna, the first capital of Suket, the Princely State of India. The word ‘Ambika’ is the other name of Goddess Durga or Mahamaya. The name ‘Ambika Apple Nursery’ just seemed to be a great fit in this scenario.
A Family Startup
Our family has been involved in growing apples for more than three decades. In 2012, agriculture being the core interest of Chaman Lal Gupta, a village dweller & shopkeeper, kept his interest alive & started this initiative. He set up his own apple nursery at Katyana & shifted it to ancestral land at Bakhol. The nursery comprises approximately 15 bighas of nursery beds, 10 bighas of mother rootstocks & 08 bighas of apple trees.
Our Team
We strongly believe in growing together thus, our entire management team including cultivation, growth & sales consists of locals from the same area. Management team members carry extensive experience in farming & are mostly specialists in soil, cultivation, fertilizer application, fertigation, crop protection, quality selection of plants, cooling, logistics, and sales. They work closely together to nurture vigorous and healthy varieties under the supervision & guidance of our technical staff. This, socially focused business initiative, is not only boosting farming & income, however; also reviving the confidence of locals in community spirit.
Our Goal
Sustainable activities with a focus on environmental protection & community growth while simultaneously ensuring the strengthening of the social & cultural fabric of the region remain the key goal for the team. A fusion of the latest technology with the provision of high-quality products remains our prime focus. Our aim is to provide a simple and friendly buying experience with utmost satisfaction to the customer. We invite all our customers to come out and do visit the farm for a nature-friendly experience.
